Delivering a superior remote desktop experience ensuring a rich multi-media performance including 3D graphics, CAD/CAM, video and more, the new VMware® Vtona PCoIP® Zero Client is a purpose built desktop virtualisation solution for cloud computing requirements.
Featuring a highly compact design and small desktop footprint, the VXL Vtona PCoIP® Zero Client represents a true zero client, incorporating no operating system making it simplicity itself to install as well as manage. Offering users enhanced security and added peace of mind, the Vtona is also risk free from viruses and spyware while all USB devices are authenticated for access.
"As pioneers in the thin client space, VXL is creating more choice and making it easier for companies to benefit from alternative computing solutions," said Frank Noon, Vice President, Worldwide Sales, VXL Instruments Ltd. "Enterprise office workers, as well as, designers, scientists, architects and engineers will all be able to receive a true PC experience from a small desktop footprint design with the added benefit of an extremely low, 12 watt, power consumption" he added.
Equally at ease operating on both LANs and WANs, the Vtona comes complete with class-leading specification including 128MB memory, full USB (4x) and audio peripheral connectivity, two single link DVI-I connectors for multi-monitor support, plus an impressive three year warranty as standard.
"Our Vtona Zero Client delivers an uncompromised desktop performance with excellent reliability and will allow users worldwide to take full advantage of VMware´s virtualisation solutions including VMware View TM 4.5 and 4.6" Noon further commented.
The VXL "˜Vtona´ PCoIP® Zero Client will be available to order from early October 2011.
