PRICE Systems, L.L.C., the world leader in cost estimating and
analysis solutions, today announced that it achieved Global Registered
Education Provider (REP) approval status from the Project Management
Institute (PMI) to offer training courses to certified project
management professionals (PMPs) enrolled in PMI's Continuing
Certification Requirements (CCR) program. The CCR program requires
PMPs to earn credits each year in order to retain their PMI
certification levels. PRICE Systems designed its training courses to
enable PMPs to quickly and accurately assess schedule, cost, and risk
while considering all available alternatives, which improves outlooks
for complex, high-visibility programs and businesses seeking
competitive differentiation.
To achieve PMI certification, PMI evaluated PRICE Systems'
training courses to validate the effectiveness of the hands-on, expert
instruction PRICE Systems provides and to ensure that it meets PMI's
high standards. Each course integrates lectures and exercises,
featuring 50 percent hands-on training time. Instructors use
real-world problems to challenge trainees and reinforce important
concepts.
Annual PMI CCR certification requires PMPs to earn 60 PDU credits
to retain certification. PMI evaluated and approved two of PRICE
Systems' training courses for professional development unit (PDU)
credits: "PRICE Hardware Model (PRICE H) - Estimating and Project
Control" and "True S - Software Project Planning and Control."
Additional course details follow:
-- PRICE H: This five day course provides an overview and
instruction in the use of parametric cost estimating
methodology and allows PMPs to earn 40 PDUs
-- True S: This four-day course provides basic instruction in the
use of a collection of predictive cost models designed by
PRICE Systems and allows PMPs to earn 32 PDUs
"Offering PMI-certified training underlines PRICE Systems'
dedication to enabling organizations to successfully estimate and
analyze the effort, schedule, and cost of projects," said PRICE
Systems President Anthony DeMarco. "We are committed to better
equipping our customers to make well-informed, more-effective cost
decisions and ultimately lead their programs and companies to greater
levels of success."
