IMERYS Pigments for Paper to Increase Global Kaolin Prices

IMERYS Pigments for Paper will raise global kaolin prices for its
pigments for paper product lines effective December 1, 2007 as
contracts allow.

Kaolins manufactured in the USA and Brazil, including calcined
products will increase by an average of 12%. Energy surcharges will
remain in effect for all kaolin products.

Significant cost pressures in logistics, chemicals, mining, fuel,
and power are key drivers for the announced price increases. Despite
Imerys' continual investment to mitigate these effects, price
increases are necessary to achieve a sustainable pigment business and
meet the demands of the paper industry.
