Redback Receives Customer Value Enhancement Award from Frost & Sullivan

Redback Networks Inc., an Ericsson company that makes video
centric routers for 75 percent of the world's largest telephone
companies, today announced it has been awarded Frost & Sullivan's 2007
Customer Value Enhancement Award in the category of Global Carrier
Infrastructure Edge Routing.

This is the sixth industry award received for the SmartEdge(R)
1200 and the entire family of SmartEdge routers. Redback's SmartEdge
multi-service edge platform is used by 16 of the top 20 telephone
carriers worldwide to deliver a mix of broadband, phone and TV
services to more than 63 million subscribers.

"Carriers today are under tremendous pressure to roll out
integrated communications, while minimizing the capex and opex
required to provide these ongoing services," said Arpit Joshipura,
vice president of marketing, standards and solutions. "Frost &
Sullivan's acknowledgement of Redback's routing leadership, in
particular, the new SmartEdge 1200, highlights our commitment to
working closely with our customers to deliver the most functionality
for wireless and wire-line services in one router platform.

"Redback invented broadband subscriber management and continues to
up the ante for next-generation broadband infrastructure for
triple-play services with its new SmartEdge 1200," said Sam Masud,
principal analyst at Frost and Sullivan. "For these and other
innovations in edge routing, we are pleased to award Redback Networks
our Customer Value Enhancement Award."

Frost and Sullivan's Customer Value Enhancement (CVE) Award is
presented each year to the company that has best demonstrated the
ability to expand the customer base, while maintaining its existing
install base, with more innovative value creation and enhancement
strategies than competing vendors. This Award recognizes the company's
successful sales entry, customer acquisition and service strategies,
and the degree to which those strategies have met customers' stated
needs and requirements. Such innovation is expected to significantly
improve customer interaction and contribute to customer satisfaction.
