Lukashenko condemns opposition "barbarism" in Belarus

MINSK (Reuters) - Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko praised police on Monday for standing firm against "barbarism and destruction" after opposition protests against his re-election to a fourth term.

He condemned opposition "banditry," telling a televised news conference: "There will be no revolution or criminality in Belarus."
