Pace Micro Technology (LSE:PIC), the leading independent developer

announces the appointment of Richard Slee as President of its Europe,
Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and Asia Pacific (APAC) regions.
Richard will develop Pace's business across the important EMEA and
APAC regions as more markets move to high definition formats and adopt
personal video recording (PVR) technology. Pace has led the
development of digital TV technology throughout these markets, working
with some of the largest payTV operators and delivering a number of
industry firsts.
Richard joins Pace from Motorola where he was Vice President and
European Sales Director of its Networks division, responsible for the
sales, engineering and technical functions. At Pace he will lead a
140-plus strong team of sales and engineering professionals
specialising in EMEA and APAC platforms.
The appointment comes in time for one of the digital TV industry's
major shows, the International Broadcasting Convention (IBC), starting
in Amsterdam on 7 September. Richard will join the Pace team to
highlight the latest product and technology developments on the
Company's exhibition stand.

Richard joins Pace Micro Technology from Motorola, where he was
vice President and European Sales Director, Networks. Before taking on
this role Richard held two further Motorola positions as Vice
President and GM Europe, Retail Distributors and Operators, Mobile
Devices and General Manager, UK Mobile Devices.
Previously Richard was Managing Director of Phones International
Group and Managing Director at Dextra, part of the Caudwell Group.
Dextra, under Richard's leadership, became Europe's largest
distributor of mobile phone accessories.
