GO Networks, a subsidiary of NextWave Wireless Inc., (NASDAQ:
WAVE) today announced that it has expanded its Mobile Broadband
Wireless (MBW) family of offerings with a new, small form-factor MBW
510 femto cellular-mesh Wi-Fi base station, as well as new 4.9 GHz
public safety support. Additionally, GO Networks announced a new suite
of design and deployment services providing comprehensive Radio
Frequency (RF) and Internet Protocol (IP) broadband wireless planning,
deployment and integration.
"We are excited to bring these new innovations and services to
market,' said Yuval Mor, Senior Vice-President of Sales and Marketing
of GO Networks. "They represent new benchmarks in performance,
coverage, and investment protection for customers."
New Products--Maximizing Wi-Fi Economics
The new GO Networks MBW 510 is the industry's first femto
cellular-mesh Wi-Fi base station, complementing GO Networks' MBW 2000
and 1000 series micro and pico cellular-mesh products on the market
today. The MBW 510's innovative design enables fast, simple, and
cost-effective deployments, and enables operators to rapidly provide
broadband wireless coverage virtually anywhere.
In addition, GO Networks has introduced new 4.9 GHz public safety
support for the MBW 1000 series -- providing an independent 4.9 GHz
access channel for public safety applications, and broadening the
scope and investment return of MBW 1000 series deployments.
New Services--Accelerating Time-to-Market
The new GO Networks broadband wireless networking design and
deployment services provide a comprehensive turn-key solution for RF
and IP network planning, design and deployment. Leveraging the
extensive network design and management capabilities of NextWave
Broadband Inc., a subsidiary of NextWave Wireless Inc., GO Networks
can provide a total solution for virtually any size deployment in
rural, suburban, or metropolitan environments.
"We are extremely excited about the new suite of design and
deployment services that GO Networks is bringing to market," said
David Needham, Chief Division Officer of NextWave Broadband's Network
Solutions Group. "Based on our experience and technology portfolio, we
believe we are in an ideal position to offer customers the broadest
wireless technology and service capabilities to ensure the highest
quality mobile communications experience for end-users."
GO Networks will be providing a live demonstration of its advanced
Wi-Fi network solution at Broadband Wireless World (Las Vegas, May
21-24, Booth 2231). The company will also be exhibiting it products
and services at W2i Digital Cities (Chicago, May 22-23, Booth 11), and
at MuniWireless (New England, June 3-5, Booth 4).
