U.S. senators to unveil new climate bill Wednesday

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Senators John Kerry and Joseph Lieberman on Friday said they will make public on Wednesday the details of a compromise climate change and energy bill.

Kerry, a Democrat, and Lieberman, an independent, made their announcement shortly after Republican Senator Lindsey Graham called for putting the bill on hold in the wake of the huge Gulf of Mexico oil spill that is shifting political sentiments in Congress on expanding offshore drilling. Graham had worked with the other two senators on drafting the legislation.
