Turbulence injures over 20 on U.S.-Japan flight

TOKYO (Reuters) - More than 20 people were injured when a United Airlines flight from Washington to Tokyo hit turbulence on Saturday, an airport police official said.

No one on United Flight 897 was seriously injured, he added. The Boeing 747-400, which had 245 people aboard including 18 crew members, landed on schedule at Narita.

United Airlines was not immediately available for comment.
