iO(TM) global ltd. is working with Sundance Institute and GSMA
along with three other partners to enable 3GSM conference delegates to
premiere a selection of five films from their mobile devices. In
addition, individuals will be able to forward the content to friends,
wherever they are in the world. The goal of this project is to
demonstrate the viability of enabling individuals' access to and
on-the-run enjoyment of professionally produced movies via their
personal mobile devices. The project is also looking to understand the
best approach for obtaining real-time feedback from movie viewers.

bringing interesting movies and their creators to the industry and the
public," commented Cristian Parrino, chief marketing officer of
iO(TM). "iO is pleased to be collaborating within this partner
ecosystem for this project that positions on-the-run individuals as a
dynamic point of distribution and consumer-generated ratings."
Individuals will text "FILM" to a designated mobile number. They
will receive a responding SMS text with the unique link to the mobile
web portal. Individuals can view the individual movies, read
information about the directors, as well as vote and enter their
comments. Behind the scenes, the content will be dynamically formatted
for each individual's mobile phone. Comments will be moderated, and
then shown on a portal linked to the plasma screens at the 3GSM
exhibition.
iO(TM) will provide the reporting capability on user interaction
with the content, as well as analyzing the input, sharing and voting.
iO(TM) is expecting this will yield significant insights into
individual behaviours and preferences with respect to serving
on-the-run and on-demand video needs in the future.
