Device Management, has today announced a client for Symbian 9.0 S60
3rd edition mobile phones. The client is the newest version of
Capricode's SyncShield(R), an advanced mobile device management
solution managing settings, applications and security on mobile
devices. It enables the management of the devices centrally and
silently Over-The-Air (OTA), enhancing both the security and
flexibility of mobile device deployments.
The Advanced Mobile Device Management features of SyncShield(R)
bring significant benefits to service providers and enterprises by
reducing the amount of money, time and other resources required in
mobile device asset management and administration.
SyncShield(R) is based on the Device Management standard of Open
Mobile Alliance (OMA DM), a forum of over 200 key players in mobile
device development, deployment and management. SyncShield(R) supports
the OMA DM 1.2 standard, and introduces also an advanced feature set
with functions that improve usability and security of mobile device
management. SyncShield(R) supports over 93% of all smartphones sold
globally today. The newest SyncShield(R) client brings these benefits
available to Symbian 3rd edition smartphones, including new Nokia
E-series business phones.
To ensure agile delivery of new clients to upcoming smartphones
and new platforms Capricode has established a client factory in
Budapest, Hungary, in cooperation with Agil Eight.
