Opticis Introduces the Express DVI Daisy-Chain Extension System

Opticis Co., Ltd., the leading developer and manufacturer of
optical extension cables and modules for system integrated Information
Technology applications, is now shipping a Converter and
Repeater/Splitter Box system linked by two strands of Multi-Mode glass
optical fiber that provides DVI signals to daisy chained display
peripherals (projectors, LCD & plasma panels) up to 500m (1,640 ft).
The benefit of a single link / multiple display system is simplicity,
lower cost and superior video quality.

An M5-2000 box converts the DVI output of a video card or source
to an optical signal that is sent to an M5-2001 box which drops the
signal into a display while sending the identical signal to another
M5-2001. The link is a pair of 62.5/125um glass optical fibers with
ends terminated by a duplex LC connector. The Express DVI D-C products
are rack-mountable and support a graphic data rate up to SXGA
(1280X1024), 24-bit color and 60Hz refresh rate with standard DVI-D
connectivity for the display peripherals and video source.

"The Express DVI D-C Extension System clearly demonstrates the
undisputed benefits of glass optical fiber - data security, picture
perfect video, no RFI-EMI effects and plug 'n play simplicity." said
Byeong-Ho Park, VP Sales & Marketing, of Opticis Co. "This is today's
product for the rapidly growing markets of digital signage, display
and control, and machine automation and monitoring, that need the
electrical isolation, multiple displays and front-of-screen video
integrity."

Opticis Co. is displaying the product at booth M12, January 30th -
February 1st, at the Integrated System Euro 2007 exhibition in
Amsterdam. Product is shipping now to Opticis' OEM Partners and
Distributors.
