The following attorneys were elected Partner:
-- Julian Chung, resident in the Global Finance Department in the
New York office, represents leading institutions in commercial
lending transactions, with emphasis on senior secured
financings for leveraged acquisitions, as well as in
connection with the restructuring and refinancing of existing
credit facilities. She received her J.D., cum laude, from the
Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and her B.A. from New York
University. She is admitted to practice in the State of New
York.
-- Israel Dahan, a New York-based litigator, concentrates his
practice in the areas of complex securities fraud, director
and officer liability, and brokerage and class action
litigation. He graduated summa cum laude from Touro College
and cum laude from Brooklyn Law School, where he was Note &
Comment Editor for the Journal of Law and Policy. He is
admitted to practice in New York and New Jersey.
-- Matthew Hendrickson is an antitrust practitioner who
represents parties to mergers and acquisitions transactions
before the Federal Trade Commission and the Antitrust Division
of the U.S. Department of Justice, handles antitrust
litigation, and counsels on U.S. competition laws and the
Hart-Scott-Rodino Act. Resident in the New York office, he
received a B.A., cum laude, from Williams College and
graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School, magna
cum laude, where he was a member of the Law Review.
-- Stephanie Meltzer, a member of the Business Fraud and Complex
Litigation Group in New York, represents corporations,
financial institutions, investment firms, and individuals in
all aspects of criminal investigations and litigation, both
pre- and post-indictment, as well as in complex civil
litigation and investigations, including class, shareholders,
whistleblower and RICO actions in federal and state courts.
Ms. Meltzer served as an Assistant United States Attorney for
the District of Columbia where she oversaw and directed fraud
investigations involving a variety of government agencies. She
earned her B.A. from the University of Michigan and her J.D.,
cum laude, from Tulane Law School, where she was on the
editorial board of the Tulane Law Review.
-- A Capital Markets attorney in New York, Lisa Pauquette's
practice involves the representation of commercial and
investment banks and other financial institutions in
securitization, mortgage banking and financing transactions.
She has been involved in the purchase and sale of residential
first and second mortgage loans and commercial and multifamily
mortgage loans as well as in structuring and negotiating
warehouse lines and repurchase agreements for mortgage assets
and residual securities. She graduated from Middlebury College
with a B.A., and received her J.D. from Boston University
School of Law. She is admitted to practice in the State of New
York.
-- A London-based Capital Markets lawyer, Nick Shiren has
extensive experience in securitization transactions involving
numerous asset classes, including residential and commercial
mortgages, auto loans, credit cards, aircraft leases and
commercial leases. He also has advised on commercial paper
conduit and master trust structures, asset repackaging,
derivative products and CDOs. He received a Bachelor of Laws
(honors) and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of
Queensland, and a Masters of Laws from the University of New
South Wales. He is admitted to practice as a Solicitor in
England and Wales; as a Solicitor and Barrister, High Court of
Australia; as a Legal Practitioner in the Supreme Court of New
South Wales, and as a Solicitor in the Supreme Court of
Queensland.
-- Gary Silverstein, resident in the New York Tax Department,
represents issuers, underwriters, insurers and other parties
in connection with the tax aspects of mortgage-backed and
asset-backed securities, REMICs and other debt issuances,
including CDO and CLO transactions. He graduated with a B.A.,
cum laude, received his J.D. from Columbia Law School and
earned an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of
Law.
