Medidata Solutions, a global provider of electronic clinical data
capture, management and reporting solutions, today announced its
strategic partnership with INC Research, a therapeutically focused
contract research organization with a trusted process for delivering
results. Through Medidata's ASPire to Win(TM) Program, INC Research
will implement Medidata Rave(R) to support its customers across the
U.S., Europe, Asia, South America and other locations worldwide.
INC Research, which began building EDC expertise among its staff
as early as 2001, has been a leader in the successful completion of
studies using EDC technologies. INC Research interviewed 16 different
industry vendors, and quickly narrowed the field to select Medidata
Rave. Rave was chosen for its ease of deployment, user friendliness,
intuitive interface, unique reporting capabilities and the level of
supplemental support available from Medidata. INC Research was also
impressed with Rave's ability to present clinical data in any language
in real-time around the world, a critical component of INC Research's
Asian strategy as well as growth in other areas.
INC Research's ability to maintain a highly customer-centric focus
has been a key driver of corporate growth and serves as the
cornerstone of the company's Trusted Process(TM) methodology for
conducting clinical trials and non-trial related data projects.
"We selected Medidata because they are an industry leader in the
EDC space, and because their solution meshes well with our Trusted
Process," said Alistair Macdonald, vice president of data services for
INC Research. "For instance, our QuickStart(TM) portion of the Process
is now enhanced by Rave because customers will have a truly global EDC
platform that is easier to set up. Data can be collected faster with
Rave, which enhances the Program Acceleration portion of the Process.
Rave will also allow us to close the database faster. This makes the
final portion of our Process, called QualityFinish, even more notable
as database closeout may occur many weeks earlier, giving our
customers the data they need sooner."
Medidata Rave will also allow the entire research team - sponsors
and INC Research employees - to have access to data in real-time.
Medidata's ASPire to Win Program is a non-exclusive application
service provider (ASP) partnership and business model. The program
will allow INC Research to meet sponsor demand for Medidata Rave and
offer the platform in-house. As a result, INC Research will be able to
create new services revenue around the implementation of this
industry-leading technology.
"As one of the earliest adopters of EDC technology and a company
that has played a key role in enabling its customers to move to
electronic solutions, INC Research is a natural fit for us," said
Tarek Sherif, CEO of Medidata Solutions. "Medidata Rave's ability to
scale to support any size trial or sponsor will allow INC Research to
further expand its growing number of customers. We look forward to
working together to extend the reach of EDC."
