OTTAWA (Reuters) - The United States and Canada will announce an agreement on Thursday to work together on energy technology that is environmentally friendly, including capturing and storing the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide, a White House official said.
"We are announcing an agreement to work together on clean energy technology," the official said.
"It will include elements like carbon capture and sequestration and the smart grid."
President Barack Obama arrived in Canada Thursday for his first foreign trip since taking over the White House last month.
