WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency said on Tuesday it would reconsider a Bush administration rule that would approve government permits for new coal-fired power plants without looking at the impact of carbon dioxide emissions spewed by the facilities.
The EPA acted in response to petitions filed by several environmental groups.
