>Rooney Mara was destined to be famous, but maybe not for acting. She is the great-granddaughter of the Pittsburgh Steelers founder/New York Giants founder Wellington Mara (pictured below). He was the co-owner of the Giants and her father also worked for the Giants.
Mara was born October 24, 1985. She and her older sister, Kate, are both actresses. Below is a picture of them at the premiere for "Nightmare on Elm Street," in which Rooney starred in 2010.
She made her film debut in 2005 in the straight-to-video horror film "Urban Legends: Bloody Mary." Older sis Kate starred in the film.
