HAVANA (Reuters) - Hurricane Ike, packing 120 mile per hour winds (195 kph) and heavy rains, made landfall on the northeastern coast of Cuba on Sunday, the Cuban Meteorology Institute said.
A forecaster at the weather service said Ike's eye cameashore near Punta Lucrecia in the state of Holguin about 510miles (823 km) southeast of Havana.
