Twelve killed in blast in Syrian capital's main Shi'ite quarter

BEIRUT (Reuters) - At least twelve people were killed and forty wounded in twin blasts on Sunday in the main Shi'ite neighbourhood of the Syrian capital Damascus, Lebanon's Manar state television said.

The television station of Lebanon's militant Shi'ite Hezbollah group said the attacks took place in the Sayeda Zeinab district, where Syria's major Shi'ite shrine is located.
