HONOLULU Hawaii (Reuters) - Lava flow from Kilauea Volcano that has been creeping toward built-up areas for months has advanced to just 100 yards from the nearest residential property on the Big Island of Hawaii, authorities said on Monday.
Residents in the path of the lava have been placed on alert for possible evacuation, the County of Hawaii said in a special civil defense message.
