Blasts kill 15 people at Bulgaria explosives plant

SOFIA (Reuters) - A series of powerful blasts at a depot at a Bulgarian explosives plant killed fifteen people and injured three others on Wednesday night, officials said on Thursday.

The government announced a day of national mourning for the victims of the accident, amid rising public concern over a failure to impose strict controls and safe work conditions at ammunition depots across the Balkan country.
