Bus crash in France kills six tourists

PARIS (Reuters) - Six Moroccan tourists died and seven were severely injured when the bus they were travelling in crashed on Friday into the support pillar of a highway overpass in central France, a police official said.

The crash took place at around 1 a.m. GMT (2 a.m. Britishtime) a few kilometers from Blois, the official said. Nineteenother passengers were slightly injured.

"For reasons unknown, the bus crashed into a bridge pillardividing the highway," the official said.

The injured were evacuated to hospitals in Blois andOrleans, the official said. Almost 200 police and rescueworkers were mobilised in the rescue effort.
