ISLAMABAD (Reuters) - The president of the main party that backs Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf, the Pakistan Muslim League (PML), lost his seat in parliament in Monday's general election, television networks reported on Tuesday.
PML president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, a former primeminister, was defeated in his seat in Punjab province by arival from the Pakistan People's Party of assassinatedopposition leader Benazir Bhutto, the networks said, citingunofficial Election Commission tallies.
