BEIJING (Reuters) - Eleven people were killed and four injured in a hotel fire in eastern China's Zhejiang province early on Friday, Xinhua news agency said.
The fire broke out at 1:50 a.m. local time in theChengshuai hotel in Yiwu city and was put out within an hour.Firefighters rescued 23 people, but 11 died in hospital andfour were still being treated, Xinhua said.
Yiwu is a booming manufacturing and commodities tradingcentre.
In December, a fire in a ground-floor flower shop inanother Zhejiang city spread to a dance hall and an apartmentblock above, killing 21 people.
