N'DJAMENA (Reuters) - Chadian President Idriss Deby on Thursday announced a state of emergency across the country to safeguard security in the wake of a rebel attack on the capital N'Djamena this month, the communications minister said.
The measure will take effect on Friday for 15 days afterwhich time it would need to be reconfirmed by the NationalAssembly, Communications Minister Hourmadji Moussa Doumgor toldReuters.
