WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Geological Survey reported at 6.2 magnitude earthquake on Friday just off the coast of Chile, 56 miles (90 kilometres) south-southwest of Valparaiso, at 20:26 local time (1:26 a.m. British time).
The temblor was at a depth of 11.9 miles.
