Two blasts hit Pakistan's Peshawar, several casualties

PESHAWAR, Pakistan (Reuters) - Two blasts ripped through a market area in Pakistan's volatile northwestern city of Peshawar late on Saturday, causing several casualties, police and residents said.

Police said they were investigating the cause of the blasts. Islamist militants have stepped up bomb and suicide attacks across U.S.-ally Pakistan since the killing of al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden by U.S. SEALs in a secret raid last month.
