WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak said Thursday that if he stepped down now, the banned Islamist Muslim Brotherhood would take power, the U.S. television network ABC reported.
ABC's Christiane Amanpour, who interviewed Mubarak at his presidential palace, said Mubarak had told her there would be chaos if he resigned now. (http://link.reuters.com/red87r)
