Magnitude 5.9 earthquake hits central Chile

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A 5.9 magnitude earthquake struck central Chile on Monday, about 80 miles (129 kilometres) north north-west of Conception, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The quake was at a depth of 15.8 miles (25 km) the USGS said. No other details were immediately available.
