Death toll rises to 20 in Iraq's Kerbala blast

KERBALA, Iraq (Reuters) - The death toll from a bomb targeting Shi'ite pilgrims has risen to 20 people with 110 wounded on Wednesday in Iraq's holy city of Kerbala, health officials said.

Hundreds of thousands of Shi'ite pilgrims have flocked to Kerbala for a religious rite. Shi'ite gatherings are frequent targets for Sunni Islamist insurgents like al Qaeda.
