WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A magnitude 6.7 earthquake struck southeast of the Sulu archipelago of the Philippines, the U.S. Geological Survey said on Wednesday.
The epicentre of the quake, which struck at 5:41 a.m. local time on Thursday, was located 184 miles (297 km) southeast of Jolo on the Sulu archipelago. The depth was 362.2 miles (582.8 km), the agency said.
Initially, the U.S. Geological Survey registered a 6.9 magnitude quake.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damages and no tsunami warning was issued.
