Madrid's highest court has removed Judge Elpidio José Silva from a major case investigating Caja Madrid's purchase of City National Bank of Florida when Miguel Blesa was president of the bank.
Given that Silva has also been removed from investigations of a loan granted to Gerardo Díaz Ferrán. Judge Juan Antonio Toro will replace him. For his part, Silva comitted several errors in the investigations process of the case, but the most important thing is that someone continues to figure out what really happened with Blesa and makes a decisive ruling.
The myriad players that intervened in the process should step off the stage, let the judges do their work and avoid muddying up what has been a long and stressful legal process.
