ECO10 is an index that is born to outperform the Spanish market. Its first composition includes Telefónica, Santander, Repsol, Acerinox, Cintra, Prisa, Ferrovial, Banco Popular, Altadis and Indra. Every stock has the same weighted and its composition can be revised each quarter based on the Consensus Portfolio of elEconomista.

This consensus merges 48 model portfolios of 48 brokers, banks and investment firms, and is also available daily in the website and on Saturdays in the newspaper. . The new index ECO10 is now available at and can also be checked everyday at the newspaper. In Bloomberg and Reuters the ticker is: eco10p.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average , which was created by Charles Dow and introduced in May 1896, is today the most popular and most widely quoted US market index and is still maintained by the editors of the Wall Street Journal.
