Stock futures fall as recession fears weigh


    NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stock futures indexes retreated on Thursday on concerns of a longer and deeper global recession and on weak quarterly results and outlooks from companies.

    S&P 500 futures fell 7.70 points. Dow Jones industrial average futures slipped 35 points, and Nasdaq 100 futures were down 12.25 points.
