Stock futures tumble as credit woes fan global rout

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stock futures slid on Monday as concerns about the widening fallout from the credit crisis fueled a global equities sell-off and bank rescues in Europe heightened fears about the stability of major financial institutions.

S&P 500 futures dropped 27.70 points and were below fair value, a formula that evaluates pricing by taking into account interest rates, dividends and time to expiration on the contract. Dow Jones industrial average futures slid 219 points and Nasdaq 100 futures shed 33.25 points.
