The Dow Jones industrial average was down 70.89 points, or 0.65 percent, at 10,760.18. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was down 7.71 points, or 0.66 percent, at 1,153.35. The Nasdaq Composite Index was down 15.03 points, or 0.73 percent, at 2,054.37.
