Germany's Emsland nuclear plant to restart on Sunday - DPA

FRANKFURT (Reuters) - Germany's Emsland nuclear power plant will likely be restarted around midday on Sunday, two days after it was taken off grid after a minor leak was detected, German news agency DPA said, citing a spokesman for the plant's operator.

The operator of the 1,400 megawatt plant, German utility RWE, said on Friday the leakage appeared to have occurred in a sample line used to monitor the boron content of reactor coolant.

The problem has now been fixed, the spokesman told DPA. RWE was not immediately available for comment.

No radioactivity has seeped out of the northern German plant due to Friday's incident, the Environment Ministry of the German state of Lower Saxony said.
