CPC pegs chance of El Nino at 65-percent in Northern Hemisphere winter


    NEW YORK (Reuters) - The U.S. weather forecaster on Thursday projected a 65-percent chance that El Nino conditions will be present during the Northern Hemisphere winter and last into the Northern Hemisphere spring.

    The Climate Prediction Center, an agency of the National Weather Service, raised its projection for the likelihood of the weather phenomenon in its monthly report.
