Appeals court: Rambus spoliated but no dismissal


    WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A federal appeals court has ruled that Rambus did inappropriately destroy documents related to patent cases but overturned a lower court's dismissal sanction.

    Both Micron and Hynix Semiconductor Inc <000660.KS> had accused Rambus of spoliation, the legal term for inappropriate document destruction.

    Rambus shares were down 20 percent in noon trading on Friday.
