Stock futures rise late on Intel results


    NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. stock index futures rose in late trade on Tuesday after Intel Corp , a technology bellwether and a Dow component, posted its quarterly results.

    The late spurt signaled that technology shares would be in focus on Wednesday as investors welcome signs of rising demand for tech equipment and stabilization in corporate spending.

    S&P 500 futures rose 2.40 points, while Nasdaq futures climbed 7 points, and Dow industrial futures added 11 points.
