Zain accepts Bharti's $10.7 billion for African assets: report


    KUWAIT (Reuters) - Kuwait's Zain board has accepted a $10.7 billion offer from India's Bharti Airtel , to buy the Kuwaiti firm's African assets excluding Sudan and Morocco, CNBC Arabia TV said.

    The Indian telecoms firm will pay Zain $10 billion by mid-April, and the remaining $700 million will be paid before the end of the year, CNBC Arabia said on Sunday, citing sources.

    Zain's board meeting was still in progress, the TV said. (Reporting by Eman Goma; Editing by Thomas Atkins)
