Nasdaq turns positive


    NEW YORK (Reuters) - The Nasdaq followed other major stock indexes higher in afternoon trading on Thursday, led by gains in Apple Inc , and as crude oil prices recovered from earlier losses.

    The Dow Jones industrial average was up 53.13 points, or 0.56 percent, at 9,596.65. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was up 3.64 points, or 0.35 percent, at 1,031.76. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 3.76 points, or 0.19 percent, at 2,028.19.
