Boston Globe midnight deadline passes without word
The Globe's management has threatened to file notice as early as Monday that it will close the paper, one of the largest and most well known in the United States.
It is demanding $20 million in cost cuts from the unions to keep the paper open. The Boston Newspaper Guild said it has offered more than its share of $10 million in cuts.
