Wall St. falls 2 percent on GM woes, energy



    NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks fell further on Thursday as a warning by General Motors about potential bankruptcy curbed investors' appetite for riskier assets, while a pullback in energy prices dragged energy shares.

    Apple Inc was the biggest drag on Nasdaq.

    S&P financial index fell 6.8 percent.

    The Dow Jones industrial average dropped 141.94 points, or 2.06 percent, to 6,733.90. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index fell 16.84 points, or 2.36 percent, to 696.03. The Nasdaq Composite Index lost 27.91 points, or 2.06 percent, to 1,325.83. (Reporting by Rodrigo Campos; Editing by James Dalgleish)
