Op-ed: The "dracma" in Greece continues

Greece did not reach the agreements it needed to rebuild the government and hold new elections in June. In light of this result, Ecofin softened the statements it made about the possibility of Greece abandoning the euro.

EU member states are nervous about what consequence an uncontrolled collapse would have on Europe.

Greek electorate can use June elections to radically change the way the country is run and increase leftist support for Syriza, which rejects an agreement with the EU, the ECB and the IMF. It is also possible that the conservative New Democracy party could recuperate votes from citizens who have been abstaining in past elections out of fear that Greece would leave the euro zone. The drama continues, and a nice and tidy conclusion is not likely.
