Wall Street rises 1 percent


    NEW YORK (Reuters) - Wall Street stocks rose more than 1 percent in midafternoon trading on Monday, led by technology, consumer discretionary and financial stocks.

    The Dow Jones industrial average was up 150.42 points, or 1.26 percent, at 12,085.00. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was up 14.79 points, or 1.17 percent, at 1,283.24. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 39.51 points, or 1.49 percent, at 2,692.40.
