Nikkei falls 1.1 percent before BOJ


    TOKYO (Reuters) - The Nikkei average fell 1.1 percent on Friday in cautious trade ahead of a decision on interest rates by the Bank of Japan, while Toyota Motor slipped after a newspaper report warned about an annual operating loss.

    The benchmark NIKKEI (NIKKEI225.) shed 94.95 points to 8,572.28, after moving in and out of positive territory throughout morning trade.

    The broader Topix dipped 0.4 percent to 835.53.
