Wall Street opens higher after payrolls data



    NEW YORK (Reuters) - Stocks jumped at the open on Friday after the January employment report beat the highest expectations, boosting hopes the world's largest economy has turned a corner.

    The Dow Jones industrial average gained 93.51 points, or 0.74 percent, to 12,798.92. The S&P 500 Index rose 11.39 points, or 0.86 percent, to 1,336.93. The Nasdaq Composite Index added 27.54 points, or 0.96 percent, to 2,887.22.
