Wall Street opens higher on data, FedEx



    NEW YORK (Reuters) - Wall Street stocks rose at the open on Thursday as stronger labor market and manufacturing data as well as higher quarterly profit from FedEx spurred a rebound after three days of market losses.

    The Dow Jones industrial average gained 124.84 points, or 1.06 percent, to 11,948.32. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index added 12.55 points, or 1.04 percent, to 1,224.37. The Nasdaq Composite Index put on 22.81 points, or 0.90 percent, to 2,562.12.
