Wall St jumps 1 percent after open


    NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. stocks rose more than 1 percent at the open on Friday as the July payrolls report eased some anxiety about the struggling U.S. economy.

    The Dow Jones industrial average was up 160.26 points, or 1.41 percent, at 11,543.94. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was up 18.04 points, or 1.50 percent, at 1,218.11. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 35.25 points, or 1.38 percent, at 2,591.64.
